These shields are clones of the currently unavailable V5 shield from adafruit. I have used them for several projects with good results. However, buyers should be aware of a defect that has the potential to damage your arduino board if not corrected. There are two mistaken connections and two missed connections on each board. These affect the ground and +5V pads. The mistaken connections are 1) between one side ground pad and the +5V side pads and 2) between the side +5V and the center ground pad. The missed connections are 1) between the two side ground pads, and 2) between the side +5V pads and the center +5V pad. To make this easy to address, I have provided photos showing the mistaken connections in white and the missed connections in yellow. The mistaken connections must be scratched out and the missed connections made using wire or (as I do) conductive paint. Photos of the fixed boards are also provided. Without this error these boards would certainly rate 5/5
